I'm looking for a new set of coil springs for my 04 2wd dually. I cannot find them aftermarket. They are spring code Y and from what I've gathered the p/n was 2C3Z-5310-VA which has been discontinued and dealers can no longer get. I don't want a lower spring rate. Front give on the truck is 4850lbs. I constantly have cupping issues on the outside of the tires and am replacing everything in the front end again and getting another alignment. I did all ball joints and steering components with an alignment and these tires are cupped already in 6k miles. I feel like this is just a powerstroke thing because my other truck did it too.
Bit i digress.... i have to replace the upper spring housings so i figured I'd throw in new springs but after a week of trying to find the 2C3Z-5310-VA part number, i give up. What are my options?
If your springs aren't damaged or shot out and you're looking for a little boost you could always just add the "budget boost" rubber bushing for the top of the spring.
When you get the alignment tell them to set it at zero degrees for toe. None. Straight up. I've always had even wear doing this.
I tried 3 different online vendorsrepayment goes through and I get an email in 2 days saying that it needs to be special ordered and then I get a refund due to it being on backorder/discontinued. Order through a different website than tasca parts, but that was the name on draft from my bank account so I'm assuming they wont have it either.

the springs aren't broken but the trucks got 305k on it and I'm taking them out to do the housings so I want to replace them. Stock height, stock spring. Trucks used for hauling.
"Thank you for shopping with us! One or more items from your recent order (Order 126846) has required special ordering, but should be ready to ship to you soon"
I'm assuming this will be the same deal from getOEMparts.com
"Hello William Naylor, This is to confirm that order #126846 has been canceled, and a refund of $126.56 has been processed. It may take 2-5 business days for the refund to reflect on your billing statement."
Going to make a phone call SDsprings today and see what my options are. Anyone know what the Y code spring rate was as far as a 4,000 or 5,000lb spring? Or is it lower than that? Front GVWR is 4850lbs.
White bear lake was able to get them for me. The spring buckets I got from fordpartsgiants.com and ordered 2 driver side ones. Then went to reorder and ended up ordering a driver side again 🤦♂️. I shouldn't order parts online after 12hr days.
I figured they could (a good dealership has some good ways to acquire parts). It is always worth trying several different dealerships - they are not all created equal .......

agree with this statement 100%. And I will try them from here on out. I always used tousley and they've been good too. White bear wins this one though
