E4OD Problem Solving

I am trying to fix all the issues in my truck before i start putting money into performance mods.
The first issue i have is the OD light is never on, but it engages and disengages OD fine.
The second issue i have is the truck has a code for the MLPS sensor, does anyone know where i can get a new one? Cant seem to find one from ford.
The third issue i have is the truck shifts into OD hard. It previously shifted into all gears hard but it was due to the OEM line pressure valve being replaced with a .500 DIA as the trans is built for 550hp so they tried to get firmer shifts, so i replaced it with a .427 DIA from Sonnax. This fixed the 1-3 shifts but OD still shifts a bit to hard for me.
The last issue i have is i want to install a cooler for this trans, i think there is one from the factory. Should i keep it flowing through the radiator or go directly to a large cooler?

Some info/plans for the truck.

1996 F250 7.3 SCLB.
Currently has a built trans in it and i plan on buying 300/200s and a S472sxe for it.
Only plan on driving it to car meets and to drag race it.

Thanks in advance

the od light in the shift stalk may just be burned out.
as for the MLSP rock auto has a few options depending on 11 pin switch or 8 pin .
but you probably have the 11 pin style

don't really know. i have only ever bought one, and that was a motorcraft unit for the 02 diesel after the one on it seized up and snapped the shift tube.

That is almost always caused by a worn through wire where the wires enter the shift handle inside the steering column. Take off the plastic cover from the column and carefully inspect the wires where they enter the shift handle. You can either solder/shrink wrap them or replace the shift handle.

The truck left the factory with a cooler in the radiator and an air to oil cooler out front. The radiator cooler is VERY important. Do not bypass it. The tiny air to oil cooler should be replaced with a cooler from a 2003-2007 6.0L F-Series. That cooler with bolt to the stock mounts. You will need adapters to convert from 3/8" lines to 1/2" lines.
