I just acquired 2 F-350s RWDs. wondering if someone of you professionals could decode the vins please.
#1- 1978 F-350 Vin: F37SNCA3298
# 2- 1979 F- 350 Vin: E14BBEJ2934-- Now I know this one starts with a E which I am figuring it maybe a vans number. The question is will a van door fit on a truck?? because this door is attached to a truck I promise you I took the pic of the door plate.
And what about the (Safety Certification) white sticker on the B pillar on the 2nd truck? What are its #'s? And does the door have a one piece lift handle to open or a thumb push button to open handle? And a flat handle to open on the inside ? (It's behind the arm rest). I do not think the van door will work because the front bottom curve to work with the front tire.
I agree the doors are not interchangeable, most likely the door was changed at one point. As far as the E to start the VIN number, I feel sure its a F, the rivet holding the plate on is right at the bottom of the letter, it could be mistaken as a E. But here is the issue, the title shows it to be a E so it was a misprint when the title was done after the door was changed. Im going to find the VIN number on the frame first chance I get.
