Ladies & Gents:
As always, it’s been a pleasure reading everyone’s posts. So much knowledge.
It has been awhile since I’ve posted but I’ve hit a road block and would appreciate any advice. I’ve completed outer and inner cab corners but I can’t seem to find a replacement piece for the rear section of the cab floor. I’ve attached a picture from the LMC website which shows their complete floor section (wish this was available when I originally bought my panels), but I’ve circled the piece I’m needing. Any suggestions? How necessary is this piece? My project was a basket case when purchased it.
I have 2 off holes on either side which go through the lower flange of that stiffener and floor panel. They attach the bench seat frame. Even if you are using a different seat I would think you'd still need a stiffener there to support the floor panel.
I made that piece in two sections because a faced the same problem on my 56 pickup. Not too long after I completed the work of putting in a complete floor they started selling that piece..
Appreciate the responses. Thanks for the picture John. Very nice work. I wish I had the equipment to whip something like that up.
I talked to LMC today and they said they’ll actually issue a full refund for panels already purchased if it’s within a year. I’m strongly considering going the route of removing the inner corners, returning the individual panel pieces, and going with the full floor piece.
