Right, trying to isolate HP oil leak, by injecting shop air through ICP port and want to close the IPR valve with IDS, just can't find how to discretely control it. With AE, this is pretty easy, just set the IPR duty cycle. I assume this same discrete control exists in IDS.
Will post a method to close the IPR w/ a jumper off of a PCM connector. Just need to copy and paste it.
Here is the procedure:
Without a scan tool to take active command of IPR duty to 100%, you can do it by having the key in the RUN position, and jumping to ground pin #2 of C1381c (the middle of the three PCM connectors between the driver side battery and the inner driver side fender well which requires the battery cover removed to access unless it's MIA) which will be a yellow wire with red stripe. This is the ground side wire to the IPR. As an FYI - on the IPR connector, Pin 1 is VPower (switched power) and Pin 2 is the ground from the PCM connector.
Is there a benefit to using the ICP port for the air test instead of just using an IPR air fitting so you can pressure up without messing with the IPR?
