Well I got a 04 fx4 and it dont have the traction control button. From what I was told if you dont have the button on the dash or where ever they put it then you wont be able to dissable. Cause I was like sweet my programmer can shut it off but since I dont have one there is nothing to shut off. I have the SCT x3 from Mike from 5 star and thats what he told me
Only the 2006+ 4x2 Lariats should have it. According to the literature anyways. I have yet to see one.
I know what he is talking about now. It isn't Torque Control...exactly anyways
When you put the shifter into 2nd or 1st, the PCM remaps the throttle.
it cuts ~1/2 the throttle out, and then fine tunes the pedal to give you more throttle sensitivity.
basically, Ford did this for low speed situations that require good throttle control
Like boat ramps, pulling a trailer offroad, muddy ground...places you don't want to spin a tire
no idea about the turns though. even before my supercharger I could swing the *** out pretty easily.
another thing to consider is that the e-throttle apparently measures how hard you nail the gas...as well as how much you depress the pedal.
try smoothly rolling into the pedal and floor it...about 1-2 seconds total time
then try stabbing the throttle to the floor
eh i dont know. i can force the rear end out. i cant make it power out of the turn. i can just feel the truck cut power at different times, i guess ill just deal with it
and about first and second that makes perfect since.
