Very Hard Start
I have never run anything but super unleaded 91 no ethanol. So they drain the fuel and put a few gallons of different fuel in and all seems better. I drive it till almost empty and refuel at a different station only putting in 10 gallons. All seems fine for several days and I'm back to square one. I drive it till almost empty again and refuel at another different station 10 gallons only but
this time I drive 120 miles to do a job for the day. I return to my truck at the end of the day to head home and now it will not start at all. So I have it towed to another service center and they tell me the same thing. Truck computer is reading 85% ethanol and the plugs are soaked. They replace the plugs, drain the fuel and put a few gallons of their own fuel in and everything is fine..again.
They keep the truck for a week trying cold morning starts throughout the week and all is working great. I come back to get my truck and refuel at the station they use and recommended and head home driving 120 miles. The next day I'm back to square one again! Something else is going on here. I'm suppose to believe I'm the only one who's getting bad gas at every station in the state?
Why are all my other vehicles running just fine? Why is no one else affected by this " bad gas"!! Does anyone have any idea what is going on?
If the dealerships keep pushing the problem off a performance shop might be able to help. They have flex tunes for the coyotes so they have an understanding of how the system works and may have a way to diagnose it that the dealer is being too lazy. Just my 2 cents.
Good luck. Sounds like a frustrating problem to say the least.
