1994 E150 Club Wagon, 270K 5.8L. It is running okay but, occasionally it will hiccup for a second or two and then smooth out. I am not getting any check engine light but I am wondering if after 90,000 miles since installing my last O2 sensor, does it makes any sense to just change it out? I think it only has one upstream sensor and I am thinking of replacing it with a NTK 22060.
Plugs, Ford racing plug wires, cap & rotor. power steering fluid flush, coolant drain & fill, fuel filter, air filter, crankcase breather et al. done 4k ago.

Ive got 235,xxx on my 94 Club Wagon and the O2 sensor has never been replaced, LOL.Originally Posted by Conanski
Yes that would be considered good maintenance, when were the plugs last changed?

Maybe I should consider changing mine as well, just for routine maintenance, then Ill change it again in another 235,000 miles. LOL.

Yeah, you can't be too careful with that routine maintenance! Originally Posted by NICKSAN

Cadjak, dashstiffrod makes a good point. The capacitors on the ECU`s of some 90s era fords go bad. Several years ago I pulled my ECM and replaced a couple bad capacitors, That cured the horrible stumbling issue my van had.Originally Posted by dashstiffrod
I chased an occasional stumble on my '94 5.8 that turned out to be capacitors in the ECM that puked their guts. No codes.
