I have sold my excursion about 18 months ago, but purchased a dc power alternator 250 Amp, that burned out just after a year

Hmm...it seems I should consider myself extremely fortunate that I’ve had mine for almost 5 years and no issues? I have the 270XP and it’s been incredible since day 1. Are there parts you would recommend I get for it as spares just in case?
Doh! I just remembered I have a brand new 140amp Motorcraft alternator sitting in the garage as a spare. 🤦♂️ So at least I won’t be stuck while waiting for parts of it goes bad! 😊
My 140 amp motorcraft alternator went out 225 miles from home grouse hunting,
lucky i had my om stock alternator, the swap in good weather in 10-15 minutes!
After that i got a mean green and then a dc power for peace of mind!
When I visited DC in November I spoke to Anthony whom runs the shop. He advised they are changing some models over to a DENSO model and abandoning the DELCO product line due to inferior parts flooding the market.
Not sure what problems you all have had, but that explanation was offered to me and only related to the 5 yr old 185 AMP that I had issues with....needless to say I walked out with a rebuilt DELCO and a new DENSO.
