I have yet to reset my trip #2 meter since buying my truck brand new. I know both trip meters exactly matched the odometer the day I drove it off the lot because I checked before leaving the dealership. I'm weird that way... I like to reset trip #1 every fuel fill up and trip #2 every oil change.
Yet, there is now a difference in the trip #2 meter and the odometer? (see pic) I'm perplexed how this could even be possible?
Did you happen to reset all the trip odometers when you bought the truck (before you drove it off the lot)? A new truck would only have a couple miles on it which may account for the 3.5 mile difference. Just an idea.

Nope... I checked them to match before I even left the dealers lot. I specifically remember doing that.
I suppose time will tell as I plan to keep an eye on this. I know 2.5 miles over a 2000 mile range isn't much but it bugs me.
Drive it for a little bit more, and see if it deviates more. Though, is it possible that in checking them at the dealership, you accidentally reset it at that time?
Ok, good to know. Now, if you really don't want to OCD about it, hold that OK button to reset it, have it completely off, and never worry about the fact that they don't match ever again.
