You can buy the Ford pigtail at any autoparts store and attach it to the P3 pigtail. It’s just (4) butt connectors.

I'm still using the Tekonsha Sentinel from 20 years ago. The Sentinel was Tekonsha's top of the line trailer brake controller back then, prior to the Prodigy and the P2 and P3.

Unlike the DrawTite and Hoppy branded electronic trailer brake controllers I had in the 80's and 90's, the Sentinel hasn't given me any problems, leaving little motivation to mess with success.

Besides, the Sentinel remains "period correct" for this vintage of truck.

I painted mine to appear integrated as part of the dash panel. If you look carefully in the upper left hand corner of the unrelated photo below, you can make out the Medium Parchment colored housing of the Tekonsha Sentinel behind the super imposed white letters of text.

Just checking in to report that not everyone with this vintage truck uses a P3... even though if having to buy a new brake controller among what is available today, the P3 would be the most obvious choice.

Does anyone on here have an opinion on the curt spectrum? https://www.etrailer.com/Brake-Contr...SABEgKSqfD_BwE
I like the idea of having most of the controller in an out of the way area. It is an interesting idea I do wonder how well it actually works.
