Prodigy Brake Controller

I have a 1996 F-150 that I will be installing a Prodigy brake controller in. The pickup does not have a towing package. From reading a number of discussions on towing I get the idea that most trucks come pre-wired with brake controller plugs under the dash.

Does anyone know if this is correct? Do I have a plug under the dash somewhere?

I sure hope so. This would make life much easier than hard wiring it.

Thanks
Howard

Only with the tow pkg. Ford supplied a four-wire plug that plugged directly into your wiring harness that you then spliced into your trailer brake controller. But without the tow pkg you won't have all the necessary wires. Go to Bage Electrical, they have pretty much everything you need to get set up. Ken
