Truck doesn't rip!

So I turn traction control off, advance Trac off, punch it... And nothing cool happens! No tire spin, no rip roaring action, nothing... I guess I expect more power and not a slow controlled weak pull out... I'm talking the kind of stuff my buddies laugh at me about... It's embarrassing haha I do have 285/75/18 and 3.31 gears... This truck felt gay with the stock tires too, kind of like the trucks power is held back or choked up... Is my truck lame or what?

I think people think it is “gay” when you do useless burn outs. Did someone take your manhood?

Anyway, Ford retards (not to be confused with mentally handicapped) a lot of power out to keep mildly mentally handicapped people from wrecking, tearing up tires, warranty claims etc.

Too many mentally handicapable people doing stupid stuff so we all suffer. Make sense?

Chill

Whoa! what's with all the hate? All I'm saying is that the truck seems to be really boring to drive... Don't sit there and judge, I was just trying to make a joke out of it

I've experienced the same less than 100% of power the OP mentions. Not only with my Super Duty but other vehicles as well. The nannies are alive and well. Part of today's automotive landscape.

I suppose my next questions will be on how to delete all this safety crap... or at least have the option to use all of the power I thought I was buying

Is yours a gasser? I feel like my friends with the gassers are way more rowdy stock out of the box...

Exclamation

Just a friendly reminder that we have to keep things family friendly on here. Calling something “gay” just isn’t acceptable in today’s society, nor is it on FTE.

Find another way to describe disappointing performance.

Your truck won't give you 100% torque until 3rd gear or so.
