Correct me if I'm wrong, but doesn't the stock programming have a torque management system? Meaning if you put your foot threw the grill, you actually only get half throttle power until 35/40 mph to protect the drive train. You can get a tune from 5 Star that will eliminate this, this giving you full power from the get go.( not to mention more horsepower and torque!)
Whoa! what's with all the hate? All I'm saying is that the truck seems to be really boring to drive... Don't sit there and judge, I was just trying to make a joke out of it
For what it’s worth, which isn’t much, the Pedal Commanders make a pretty night and day difference in drivability on today’s vehicles. Yes I know it’s the “same” as just pushing the throttle more but the more vehicles I try them on the more I’m inclined to believe there’s more to it. Not saying the increase power AT ALL, but I have a suspicion they somehow change the torque management/shift patterns a bit. Whatever they do, even on the first setting above stock, both my Ram 6.7 and Ford 6.7’s driving manners were greatly improved.
What you have to understand is, these trucks were not made to "rip" the track. The were built to pull and carry heavy loads. I'm guessing you don't have a big trailer, or haul big loads. That's where this truck shines. It's called the right tool for the job. If you want to rip the tracks, get a Mustang GT. That'll light your fire.
Its easy to judge users ages on here in these threads....quite comical
I bought and paid for 'X' hp and 'X' torque, and I want to use all of it when and how I want. I bet if Ford disabled the heated seats or steering wheel until it was below 25*F, you guys would start complaining much like the OP.

FYI....you cannot turn off traction/stability control completely. Ford lies to us
Everyone has missed a valid option here. OP if you really want the fill 925/935/1050 ft/lbs from the light, there correct solution is to trade your SRW from one with training wheels. The DRW trucks are said to have full torque from first gear. Its all about contact patch, SRW vs DRW, is a lot more area to make use of that level of torque (making smoke is not making use of it).
Right tool for the right job. If burnouts are your thing, the Mustang has a feature that will lock down just the front brakes for 10 seconds so you can make lots of smoke, before departing to the nearest crowded sidewalk (according to Youtube it appears to be the Mustangs natural environment).
If you want to smoke tires, the diesel isn't the vehicle to buy. The turbos have to spool so there will always be some lag. Get you a raptor, hell get a Tesla if you want to have instant acceleration. If you want a truck that will pull the house of it's foundation, you've got the right one.

I don’t agree with this at all. My Dodge goes 0-60 in 2.6 seconds (faster than most Teslas), and still does a great job of hauling the camper. A diesel gives you the opportunity to have your cake and eat it too!

Yeah, I'd have to see that to believe it. I'm certain you can, using programmers and depending on the gear ratio, get some quickness out of it. But 2.6 seconds I'm struggling to buy into. Don't get me wrong, I'd love to see it.
I has big truck for pulling camper.. I don't want wheeeeel spin..
I have a +500 HP Mustang for when I want to act 17 again. And a +300 HP Golf R for when I want to spin all of them at once.. (OK honestly I have to borrow her keys to spin all 4.. but she lets me.. LOL)
That's impressive, but I still don't buy 2.6 second 0-60 time...not that it matters what I think But I have researched a lot about diesel trucks and have seen no one anywhere else claiming to get less than around 4.2...and that's still a bit difficult to accept. What modifications have you made to the truck to get it moving like that?
