I sold my 5000 mile Kia Optima with all the extras to buy a '94 with 351W and E40D.
I miss the heated & cooled seats, of course.
But the thing I miss most is that keyless ignition!
Just walk up to the car, it unlocks when it senses your keys in your pockets.
Get in, press a button on the dash and drive.
Never needed to fumble with pulling keys out of my pocket at any time.
Call me lazy but I liked that feature a lot.
Has anyone here done a keyless-ignition mod on their 90's Ford?
Can you spell out what you did, or link to the parts you used?
Unfortunately, I'm gonna have a "miniature suitcase" in my pocket anyhow as I plan to install a remote-start/alarm system at the same time.
Then mod the fob to include the RFID chip or whatever it is that's needed for the keyless ignition.
The fob is one reason I want keyless ignition.
Cuz nobody wants to dig a freaking suitcase out of their jeans pocket!
You just wanna drop it in your pocket in the morning.
Then not touch it again till it's time to put yerself to bed.
