Thinking about the Sinister Diesel CAC replacement pipe kit. Has anyone used this?? Also looked at the Mishimoto, seems like one has the sensor on top, & one has the sensor located on the inside of the bend. Any input on these will help..

Rudy's is the way to go, unless you want something way more expensive and pretty to look at under the hood. The Rudy's still looks nice, and I got mine for $135 shipped. Works like a charm.

I installed the Mishimoto kit on my truck. It works as advertised. No fitment issues and all the band clamps are properly sized for each location. Is has been installed for a year and a half and has never came apart.
Others here have used cheaper kits from other brands. Some have had issues with band clamp fitment or needed windex to get the pipes fit together on those cheaper kits. The Mishimoto didn't need windex to assist with pipe installation either.
There are a couple threads here that have install instructions with images.
I installed Rudy's kit.. Mine is the two metal tube kit which was prior to the release of the one metal tube kit as pictured above. I have had mine installed for 2 and half years with no problems. You can pay more or brand named kits or not, I am well satisfied with mine for the price I paid, $150, which it is cheaper than I paid. Now, can be found for approx $100 now days.
I have a OEM one that I carry in my truck. Have since new. Still running the one that came with the truck. I forget what I paid for it though so the aftermarket ones maybe cheaper.
Some thought on that though, it is still the oem one so if the oem one fails then it could fail too. But at 70K miles and lots of heavy towing I am doing fine for now.
I have the Rudy's kit like Larry. He did an awesome write up for his install. But if I was to need another or do it again, I'd go with SPEs. I like that it's one piece and has ports on the throttle body adapter for future use if needed.

Is there mounting provisions for the IAT Sensor? I could not see any. If not, then aftermarket tuning might be required.
In the description, they say it can be used on a stock truck with emissions. In the first pic on their site, it looks like the IAT sensor is placed in the aluminum throttle body adapter. You can see it's harness run to the adapter on the top left.
The harness goes around the clamp bolt in the pic.
Thanks again for all the replies, mine is a 19, so yeah it's under warranty. But I don't want to be stuck somewhere, and if the factory one goes, I really don't want another factory replacement. Just being proactive I guess, plus I want to retain all correct sensors & factory tune.

Nothing wrong with being proactive. H&S also makes a full silicone pipe model also besides their kit that pieces together also I believe. Mishimoto makes these also with a lifetime warranty on the couplers I believe. There's other makes also. Do a Bing search and good luck. Let us know what you go with.
Have the full silicone one from H&S on mine for about a year now. Works great! Just be sure to use brake or carb cleaner on the lower connection at the innercooler as recommended for a secure fit.Don't just wipe it off! Ask me how I know
