Guys,
I am thinking about selling my 2001 Excursion that has a 7.3 in it with 142,000 miles. The previous owner let it sit for way to long and I have way too much money into repairs and a few upgrades in this thing and I am running out of patients with it. Thinking about going to a 2019 F250 with the 6.7. Located in Oregon and just checking on a good place to list the Excursion besides craigslist since it only accommodates a specialized buyer.
what damages are a result of the previous owner letting it sit for way to long ?
No damages just lots of little replacement stuff that is normal maintenance that has gotten to me. Some one will be buying a great rig that I have put tons of money into

Hey moison, I know exactly what you're going through. I just replaced my 2001 w/ 7.3 (244K miles), for another 2001 w/ 7.3 (168K miles). Drove it 1550 miles home from Houston. The engine, trans, and suspension are in great shape. She ran terrific however, and here's the biggie..... every accessory has something wrong with it. From nearly every accessory function to glass damage on the barn doors. I've put $2K into it since the day I bought it on Dec 20, 2019 til now and it needs about another $2K. And just today the check engine light went on.
Does anyone know a good exorcist? This thing seems damned!
Once you have put all that dough into it, you know it so well, why not enjoy it? Some one else is gonna benefit from all your hard work!

There are also a couple of Excursion focused groups on FB. You might let it be known there that you're looking to sell.
Yeah, I get it. I would love to be in the $2,000.00 repair bill. I'm in this thing over $10,000 in repairs not including what I paid for it. Like I said in just over it and don't want to continue with it. I have taken care of everything since I bought it almost 2 years ago. Just looking to buy new and have a warranty. Someone is going to get a hell of a rig.

If you're paying shop rates for parts and labor they will sure get to you. I enjoy tinkering. I picked up the crappiest example and just pick an area to work on each week. I understand being done with one though. Unfortunately you probably won't get your money back...
