I usually hang out on the 48-56 forum. But I have a question for you guys.
Does anyone reproduce doors for the 80-86 trucks? If so what do they cost? Are the doors the same for all 80-86 trucks?
Thanks.
Reason I'm asking: our local school is having an auction and there are some NOS doors included, one is a 80-86 passenger truck door. They also have two full sets of 72-80 Dodge truck doors and one Chevy truck door.
What would a 80-86 Ford truck door go for? I sell stuff at Ford Carlisle but don't deal with this "newer" stuff.

https://www.lmctruck.com/1980-96-for...eel-body-parts Door shells are $210 I've always heard their quality is ok, but not great, and they are a little pricey. Couldn't find any on dennis carpenter, but didn't have much time to check.
We have the same situation all the older trucks have; The aftermarket makes new ones at a reasonable price, but the quality is not the same. So even if yours are used, if they are perfect, they should bring as least as much as the new ones
Depending on the market by you, it might be possible.
On craigslist by me there was one for sale at $110 in the shipping package, but it was overseas aftermarket.
I feel like that describes what lmc has to offer but not 100%. I remember a member saying he got one and had a tiny bit of surface rust inside. He was just going to neutralize and coat it with something but wanted to let lmc know they might want to inspect their inventory and they insisted on sending him another one, which speaks volumes for their customer service. Can't remember if he had to send old one back or not.
This was used in the school's body shop. I'm not sure why the primer is on the corner. Did kids use it for practice? It looks good to me. I don't know if there is putty beneath the primer. I will have a magnet in my pocket before the auction.

That was me lol. Still have that original door sitting in the shed.
I had a dishwasher leak I had to fix this morning and I got to the auction late. The Ford parts were already sold. There was a box of NOS Ford parts that sold for $2. I found the guy that bought them and asked if he wanted to double his money. He said, Yes. So I paid him $5. I got about 10 Ford truck NOS parts from 85-94. Good deal.
Someone showed me who bought the 4 Dodge truck doors, a Chevy squarebody door and the Ford truck door and some NOS box bed rails and tailgate trim. It was my body man. He paid $25 per door and $5 for the bed rails! I didnt even ask him if he wanted to sell anything because he sells stuff at Carlisle!
Abe, small world we live in that your body man was the one that ended up with some of the parts LOL
Good to hear the washer got fixed, hate to see you washing dishes
