I will probably get rid of my spare doors soon due to lack of room. (A move I figure will be immediately regretted).
Anyway, can they be shipped by any method other than truck freight? I know they used to be too big for UPS, FEDEX etc, but things change so thought I would ask if anyone had done it. I sent a glass fender via Greyhound very economically once, but haven't checked into that either.

can still be done on greyhound, but not as cheap as it used to be..
When I shipped a pair of doors to Arizona, I placed them back-to-back (with the insides) together. If the door handles or interior mechanical components still attached, then use lots of protection in between. I then placed cardboard over the door skins and taped the heck out of them.
I now use shrink wrap and metal ties. Makes things a lot simpler and easier. Complete doors should weigh under 100lbs.
Options? OK sell the doors and agree to deliver them to the supernats, buyer is happy and gives you a reason to go. Then we can talk about cootie bobbed trucks and bigwindows! Just one more option.
