I removed the OEM stabilizer after I upgraded mine. Hopefully, for those removing the OEM stabilizer, the removal goes better than mine. They say “just tap out the bolt” yeah right. The one on the frame side had no issues. The other one, I tried a hammer, then a bigger hammer, then a pickle fork, then a pry bar, then an air chisel, then various air tools. I finally took out a dremel and cut the shock off of the bolt. Bolt still there, not going anywhere thats for sure. If I ever get this truck on a lift I will go at it again.
I went with the PMF DSS and the Bilstein's and left the factory steering stabilizer in place.
The PMF DSS even took out the bump steer in the truck. I couldn't be happier.
PMF did what 4 trips to the dealer couldn't. (Eliminate the DW)

I left my stock SS in place when I added the dual setup- when I had to replace my factory SS awhile ago I had to rent/loaner tool the front end service kit from advance auto and use the puller o remove it---- I was way surprised

On the advice of other members, I purchased a Pitman arm puller when I swapped my single OEM SS with a Fox unit. The bolt came right out.
people beat and pry for hours with every imaginable tool except the one they should be using. i know ive posted the correct puller before. 3sec and any joint will break free
ive got this one and it works great for many applications i turn it with a socket on a milwaukee fuel electric impact and joints pop free in literly seconds. theres several variants of that same type of puller that should work well also https://www.otctools.com/products/he...-joint-remover

I like that design. Not crazy about how they created the hex on the threaded rod.
