fuel filter recommendation
Hi, are the 6.7's as picky on fuel filters as the 6.4 and 6.0? jus curious if Motorcraft is the best and or only option to make it live. As long as we are at it...my DEF system i filled it up once about 3500 miles ago and it still says the tank is full...should I beleive it? oh ya one m ore thing..hahahaha....when it in regen is there anyway to check the staus of the regen? I have a scanguage 2 and that tells me but is there anything in the factory guages that does the same( I like redundancy)

oem for the filters is best.
For DEF it won't use much until you tow, So don't fill until you get around 200 to empty. you will get a notice.
Filling too soon can confuse it.
Some fill it up sooner but I don't to avoid any confused def levels.

Like Senix said, sometimes filling/topping off the DEF, it gets confused. I have never had the problem with my 2015, but I do usually wait till it is less than half full before filling or topping it off.
You can find Motorcraft filters online for decent prices, approx $48.00. You might take the price and ask your local Ford parts dept if they will match it. Some will, some won't.
