Acc position question

Acc position question

When my key is turned to the Acc position my alt and oil pressure light comes on. Is that proper for a 66?

My 66 does to, seems normal. Would not work out to swift while trying to get lucky on a date with the radio on. I guess you could call it the red light district.

It's worse than just those two lights burning. Apparently Ford didn't think ACC was going to be used much because on ACC everything except the ignition circuit has power on it. The biggest draw is the field circuit for the ALT. Turn it on ACC for 15 minutes and put your hand on the voltage regulator an ALT. they will be quite warm.

Put everything on your RUN terminal, then just wire what you want on acc. directly to the acc. terminal. IF you think it's too much load for the ignition switch use a relay.
