New bed floor needed 79 f100 shortbed

I am looking at buying a new bedfloor for my f100 short bed , any recommendations as I know they dont reproduce for the short bed and the only used one I found is on a running truck that there asking $2900 for it , might get that down some but then I would just be removing a good bed from a solid truck , so who sells a decent quality new one ? I know I will have to cut it down for a short bed , sort of sucks as all my braces are solid just a holy bed floor of rust

You can buy a floor bed for an f150 all the way up to 96. Or hit up some junkyards and find a solid bed for any ford truck up to 96.

So far what few junk yards I can hit don't have what I need or at least no solid ones .

Buyer beware tho on lmc or any other repro metal as it's usually thinner than OEM.

Or use car-part.com to search junkyards for beds

My son and I are in the same boat. I have thought about cutting down the 8 footer from LMC, but that seems like a lot of work. Yards in my area haven't had any either. May just have to use several patch panels.

Thanks bud, this i-phone isn’t letting me see. I thought if he was closer he could slice what he needed out of this 77. Is Kentucky a rust zone? Was friggin hot when i was there.

Is just the floor compatible up to 96, or are all the inner bed parts compatible?

The inner bedsides are also compatible. The ones I bought new for the Pumpkin back in '95 came with an "E" part number meaning 1980's.
