26yr. old shockes
After 145,000 miles and 26 yrs. the shocks finially let go,on my 94 f250 4x4 with some help of 200 miles on logging roads in 2 days.replaced with rancho 5000 series,what a differance,should have changed them years ago

I've read worn out shocks are real hard on leaf springs, and worn out leaf springs will wear out shocks quickly. Guess it's kind of a package deal. The whole shootin' match affects braking too, the way everything loads up when hard braking, want it to be predictable. Something something "axle wrap", or the way the leaf pack reacts when braking, don't understand it all, but I like stuff when it works right!
