I have a 2006 Ford Expedition, the shift indicator stopped working after I parked it up a hill. The indicator starts to come up short and wont go past the D or N, its not the trans because PRND works it just doesn't properly indicate them. Cant find any videos on my year expedition so if you have any experiences or ideas please share them

It sounds like it actually engage Park like it should and the issue is just the indicator being off. If that's the case, look under the dash behind the indicator and you'll see a small cable. The plastic end for the cable tends to break. Other have fixed this issue by using a zip tie around the cable and tightening it just enough to pull the cable and line up the indicator.
I moved the pin wheel on the bottom and I got it back into park but when I moved the shifter into drive and back into park the problem stayed the same and now the pin wheel is stuck and wont move any direction
I've also noticed theres some slack to the red thread on the indicator thats wrapped around a bolt not sure if thats what your referring to that needs to be tightened
