Help Doing coolant flush and low volume
Get you hands on one of the long leg ball end allen wrenches that fit the plug. Cut the short end off so you have just a nice straight tool. Save the
end for other projects. Next get some of the mastic heatshrink that will fit over it and shrink into place leaving the ball end and top exposed. The reason
for this is to give you insulation or you can just disconnect both batteries to skip this step. You don't have to remove the starter once you have this
tool in you kit. You can use an open end wrench or the box end to unscrew the plug. The first time tends to be the worst. It's also a good idea to
have a magnetic pickup for the time you drop the plug between the starter and block. The plug almost always goes back to the flywheel cover and
the magnet pickup will get it out for you.
Here is how Srmastertech shows how to do it. I do a slight modified and don't use the chemicals unless you need to.
I saw one recently that was a banjo style with right angle connection it was pretty cool.
