Sony Discman (who needs a radio?) (Wal-mart)
Audiovox 4-channel amp (60w/ch) (Costco)
Radio Shack plastic box speakers (swap meet)
JL 10W1 in sealed box (Cash Converters)
Alphasonik electronic crossover (yard sale)
Vampire fuse (Pro-car Audio)

I used the heater fan switch to turn it on. Hey, I was in a hurry, and the truck is a long way from being finished, and at least it's loud enough to hear over the engine and transmission and wind and road noise.

Worst problem is the 10W1 bottoms out if the volume is up too high, which means a loud unpleasant popping sound.

Future:
pair of 10's or 12's in 4 to 5 cubic feet, driven by one or two Targa 2CH500's. MP3 computer hidden inside '70s 8-track deck. two-way 6.5" or 6x9 in the doors.

The CDT tweeters are nice and mellow, just how I like them. (It's the CL-61 set, without the satnet crossovers, btw.) I couldn't ask for more, especially from a $300 component set. Actually, though adding the Quart crossovers did give them a bit more full bodied sound with considerably warmer midbass than the CDT networks did.

As for the Dyn's; they are the best sounding midbass drivers I've ever owned hands down, but honestly they're not worth the money. I think I would have been just as happy with Focal Polykevlars, Diamond Hex's, or something along those lines.

Mine is simple, but effective.

Pioneer DEH - 1400 head unit.
Pioneer Premier TS-C503 speakers in the doors
MB Quart DKD-110 dash speakers
Kenwood KAC - 526 bridged amp
THUMP! TB-8 subwoofer between the bucket seats.
Roadgear active subwoofer crossover.

Simple, effective, clean.

alpine 9805 head unit running a pair of polk audio ex365's in the doors no rear speakers cuz no back seat 2 12w3v2(d4) in the back each has its own 3 cubic feet tuned to 33 hz via 2 big slot ports running them with a jbl 1200.1 have an extra battery in the back for the amp(push starting the truck sucks) its simple but has great sq and when i want to crank up the bass i have over `145 on the dash ( the shops meter was acting up) it can go louder and the extra battery helped out (145 was when i had about 3 seconds before it drained my battery) i'll post some pics soon
