Dump valves

Ok so I'm building a blower setup, and been doing some reading and keep coming across dump valves for the tranny. Think I'll need it? 400/408 11:1 before boost 6-71 & C6

A 6-71 on top of 11:1 compression.

You need to go back to blower motor school.

Ever see a blown 400 Ford or one that n/a turns 7200 without coming apart?

I'm asking questions because I need to know.

Also my DCR pre boost (wasn't asked of me) is in the low 9s

Back to transmission though, will it be necessary to need a dump valve or just launch without it?

E4OD here,so basically a C6, no brake, low 10s otw to 9s soon.

Your first post says 11:1 "before boost",btw.

Yep, 11:1 before boost (static) 1.71ch flat tops, 4.030 bore 4.055 gasket, 4 stroke, 72cc heads, 6.58 Molnar h beams 10.290 deck height. Setting up rev limiter on 7200.

​​​​​​DCR comes down to a fairly decent number I can run on pump gas but will end up going e85 or Methanol when I put the big pulleys on it.

I think you should be more concerned about that motor combo then any trans issues.

If this were a nitrous build then the CR ratio would be good...not so much with forced induction though.
