66' F100 steering column

Hi, has anyone tried the steering column in the link below? It has what I want for a reasonable price, but i'm not sure about the quality.. AND, is there any adapter/joint for the output shaft to fit my 66' ford steering box?

https://www.ebay.com/itm/Black-Tilt-Steering-Column-1967-79-Ford-F100-Truck-33-No-Key-Col-Shift-F250-390/333185811543?fits=Year%3A1967%7CMake%3AFord&hash=i tem4d936c0457:g:L~AAAOSwrjtc0Ndw

thanks.

Karl, What are you really wanting to do. For one thing there is no such thing as a 67-79 column. 65 to 72 are same 73-79 are same. If you are thinking about a power steering up grade do it all at once. Swap the I-beams, steering gear and column from a 73-79 into your truck. (Bolt up exchange) A 78-79 Lariat could have a tilt column, you can also cut and fit a tilt from a van. The column and wheel are the most exchangeable parts for our trucks.

I'm installing PS.
Yes, a donor would be the best but im located in Europe so these cars are expensive either they are 66's og 79's... Only thing i've found near by is from a 90' van, but as you say, it has to be cut/shortend from a van, and I dont know if a 90's column would fit at all..

Here is a link to some high quality steering parts. If you use the column on e-bay you need a "double D" vibration reducer, "rag joint" to whatever spline is on the steering box. Borgeson Universal Company
Also if you should end up with a tilt column from 78-79 4WD truck or Bronco that doesn't have a rag joint adapter on it you will need one of these. https://www.wildhorses4x4.com/catego...g+joint+flange

Thanku, found the parts I will need to fit the column I asked about!
A original Ford Column with a direct fit would be great but still wondering about the column I linked to on Ebay. Is it woth the price or is it just a chinese rackeling piece of junk...

Do you already have the parts to convert to PS?

You wrote it as if you were all set except for the column, I would think you'd be better off trying to locate a donor vehicle to get everything from.

Just curious, what is your truck, and what is it's purpose? I drove my '65 2wd 352 3 spd for a couple of years with manual steering before I decided to convert it to 4wd. With the stock steering wheel, even with the V8 it was pretty easy to steer. I wouldn't have converted it if my donor didn't already have it. As for the brakes, power drum is an easy modification and stops adequately.

Okei, no I have not bought any of the steering parts yet.
The purpose with the truck is to daily drive it in the summer time. It is getting completly restored these days.
my truck is a inline 6, c4 auto (3sp manual original) with manual steering and brakes. I would like to upgrade the brakes as well but power steering is priority one, manual steering works good, but my stock column is worn out and someone has had a war wit the nyt for the steeringwheel so the axle is so rough my steering wheel is kinda loose, and thats not good..

Karl, Does your rag joint need replacing? No telling what is going on because your column likely is not original after a conversion to auto if the shiftier is on the column.
The column itself is one of the modifiable parts after mounting it to the dash. I parked a 66 F100 and parked a 76 beside it. I dropped the front suspension on both slid the 76 under the 66 and bolted it up. I had factory power steering and disc brakes all bolt up. I also swapped in a C6 auto. I had to use longer bolts to mount the column to the dash and work with the wiring. Another little tidbit if the front end was in alignment under the donor it will remain under the receiver.
Fix what is wrong 1st. then start working on a plan with guidance from here. I say forget the Ebay column.

My column has bad bearings (?) and the spline for the steering wheel is probably been hammered on and saved by a scetchy quic fix, rag joint is fine. It had 3 speed manual on the column but the previous owner put in a floor shifter due to the auto conv., I want it back on the column.
Anyways, If I could find a cheap donor it would be great but to give you a perspective on prices over here, a f100 in bad shape will not be parted out here, they get restored and no one sends them to the junk yard. a truck in bad shape with need for restoration here will be circa 6-7000dollars and up it goes.. so for me it will not be profitable..
