do you mean the steering shaft or the outside column. I used a 67 in my 64, but I had to cut it down some. I know the 66 is way different than the 64, though.

The 66 and 67 columns should physically interchange so long as they are both manual steering. The steering wheel however, will fit on the splines of a 67 shaft but the shaft will protrude much higher and prevent you from putting the horn button or ring on. I am not a numbers purist I just go with what fits. Use the 67 steering wheel.
