2002 F350 OD Switch Problems?
Just to give a bit of back story to my issue, I had just left a store parking lot and turned down a side street and as I was breaking my dash failed. My autolamp module and entire dash cluster failed with the truck still running. I quickly visited an auto parts store to get a fuse diagram and checked what the sales man thought that they would be. I didnt find any blown fuses that he recommended so I drove home. With the wife with me, she wanted to stop into Panda Express, so we did. As we were sitting in the drive through everything was fine, I got my food and then as I was driving out, the truck began to die. I made it around the corner and into a spot and it was just enough before it died. I had to wait a bit before I was able to crank it again but it died again. So I called a tow as all signs pointed to alternator being bad. I got it up to the wifes parents property and replaced the alternator with one from an auto parts store. Unfortunately that didn't solve the issue as it will start, but wont stay running for long.
Does anyone know if a fuse could be blown that I didnt check or is it possible its OD switch? I am thinking it might be the OD switch. If so, what fuse for the F350 2002 should I check and replace for the OD switch, autolamp and instrument cluster?
Why do you think there is something wrong with the OD Cancel switch?
What are you seeing related to the autolamp function?
