OD switch
Have some sort of short in the OD switch. When I turn the OD off it blows #19 (I think) fuse. The truck will continue running normally. The only obvious sign of a problem is I lose all power in the instrument cluster... Except the security light. When the engine is shut off it will not start until the fuse is replaced. The fuse is for the PATS, cluster and OD.
I have replaced the switch, that did not fix it.
Any ideas?

Take the cover off of the steering column. Examine the wires where they enter the shifter handle. One or more has rubbed through the insulation. Either repair the wires or replace the shifter handle for about $50.
