I run 35" tires on my truck. I also Leveled my front end for most of my day to day driving, Resulting in a squat when I hooked up my trailer. So I put airbags on the rear axle. My GN horse trailer was 2006. and it was running a little Nose High when I had it hooked up to my truck. Trucks have gotten taller since my trailer was built and my modification didn't help. Also over the years I've bent and had my trailer axles straightened. I kept worrying about the straightened axles, So I just replaced them a couple of years ago. MY trailer had Torision Axles. And most are installed at the manufacture in a 22° up position. So my new axles were in a 22° down position which lifted the trailer 6" and leveled it out when hooked up to my truck and I have about 9" of bed rail clearance. The cost was $1400 for new axles which included new brakes and install. On a 12 year old trailer, I was at the stage where I needed new brakes/bearings anyway, So that ofset some of the axle cost.

On my trailer it was 4 bolts per axle, Total of 8 bolts and took the installer 20 minutes to remove old and install new axles. So it was relatively inexpensive and very easy to do.
