I read the post on the truck forum about removing the actuator.(Thread was about 12 years old)
Mentions removing outside door handle, two bolts.
BUT the rear bolt is behind the lower window channel, almost impossible to access.
Cannot see how the top of the channel is anchored.
To ad insult to pain I changed the left one about 25 years ago, do not remember any struggles, removing lots of parts, etc
This thing is driving me nuts.Angry
Shop manual offers non committal advice: "remove linkage". "new style may require more parts removed"
The door lock actuator is riveted to the back edge of the door down below the latch. The actuator bracket is plastic and somewhat flexible so it is possible to remove the actuator from the bracket but it can be a struggle
Thanks, I have the lower channel bot removed, but still not enough clearance.
These doors appear to b e slightly different , but they are original, I have owned the thing since new.
If only I could remember how I changed the left one 25 years ago!.
Think I will run it over to a local shop, the guys there are pretty good
