the tunes themselves are not illegal and 5 star is still selling tunes. The companies that are getting hit by the epa are the ones selling emissions bypass tunes and deletes for gas and diesel vehicles. 5 star will not disable emissions in their tunes. i know this from personal experience with my long tubes and a 5 star tune.

No mention of any tune, or the 7.3L engine. This story is about bypassing emission controls on the diesels, and probably refers to 'delete kits'.

 

And you don't think that all the suppliers of after market tuners or performance parts for diesel or gas aren't seeing what's going on so they are just keeping their heads down and out of the lime light for now it's only smart on their part.

Very interesting link. Another reason why I dumped my last Diesel for a gas.....

 

some are definitely taking this approach. Stainlessworks stopped sales of catless headers.. some tuning companies stopped doing tunes that altered emissions before the EPA comes after them.

 

I'm getting 12.5 towing an 8000 pound travel trailer with the 7.3 and 355's.

 

so what is holding up the whipple kit? it looks like they have a CARB number.

 

sorry to revive a dead thread, but I got a email from whipple saying they are accepting orders on the f250 whipple kits. hoping to see some testing from 5star on this. it would be nice to compare it to the procharger setup they did.
