5 Star's 2020 7.3L SD Power and More ...
 

Our first 7.3L just made it in, had to go get it , so we had some seat time out on the interstate. Mileage at 70 mph avg. 15.0 (sorry for blurry pic) . This 7.3L has 4.30 gears and the Tremor package. Our next 7.3L will be in this Friday it will have 3.55 gears. Tomorrow late afternoon we should have some dyno's numbers from this 4.30 gear 7.3L. It drives good the 10 speed shifts smooth and is predicable. and at Wide Open Throttle pulls like a TUNED 6.2L . Should be interesting what we see on the Dyno tomorrow.

Thank you for taking the lead on 7.3 tuning. Looking forward to results.

Looking forward to seeing how these trucks do, nephew is looking at purchasing one, proper gearing and fuel milage are a couple of unknown's, 15 mpg @ 70 mph with 4.30's isn't to bad, that should make a good towing gear and still get decent fuel milage.

Tried Rock / Crawl mode and playearound with other modes on our land today with truck , low end torque is for sure there with the 10 speed and 7.3L vs 6.2L and 6 speed. Tow/Haul stinks just like the 6.2L ... i dont know why Ford doesn't make it more aggressive but very weak from our point of view. Normal mode has the F150 pattern for most part . skip pattern 1-3 3-5 2-4 4-6 . I am not a fan of 2-4 4-6 , feel like Ford should just skip the 1-3 3-5 effectively making it a 8 speed. Good observations Thanks. In your tuning can you also offer the option to lock-out some gears like "2" & "4" per your observations. I think this will create specific value to a wide reaching customer base.

Assume info! How about a 0-60 run? How does it compare to the 6.7 as far as acceleration? Obviously the diesel will “feel” torquier for sure.
