I consider myself somewhat electrically smart however this doesn't make a lot of sense to me. Anyhow I left my batteries disconnected for 3 weeks while charging and desulfating them. Hooked them up today then went to start. No glow plugs. (I have the LED glow plug mod). Checked the GPR, had 12 volts at the always hot side, turn key on, no ground signal at brown wire, no 12 volts at load side. Oh well I decided to start it anyway which it did easily without the glow plugs, just a few more cranks than usual. I shut it off and re-started 3 more times, no GPs. OK I says lets start it again and re-program the head unit which had lost time and date. Messed with the head unit for about 5 minutes while she ran but no Satellite radio, pop up says "Check Tuner". Radio bands and USB works fine. Finally shut it down, then turned key back on, GLOW PLUGS NOW WORKING! Started her up and tried Satellite, NOW IT'S WORKING! I am not complaining just don't understand what happened. Some sort of PCM reset? I can see that affecting GPs but not Satellite Radio My only guess it that the PCM needed some time to re-boot completely even though truck ran fine, and the Satellite has got to be a separate issue.

I am not electrically gifted, but I understand the dilemma. Just learning my Fluke , I tested the GPR with the same results as you found. I changed it out with success and my truck fired up in 3 to 5 seconds. My Pioneer struggled to find itself. A few stops and starts later all functions were back.
