MAF and MAP?

MAF and MAP?
In my efforts to learn more about my motor I have run into these letters and need a better understanding of what they are and what the their numbers should be on my Dashboss app. It never seems to be addressed in a straightforward way. Any chance of a layman's explanation for those of us that like to work on our own but were not born and raised motor-heads?

Manifold Air Pressure This is the boost your getting
Mass Air Flow This is the amount of air listed by Cubic Feet or in Grams flowing through the Mass Airflow sensor.
I think there is a good definition list in the Tech Folder for most all the acronyms that we use.
