I have a 1998 F150 5.4L with 144,000 miles on it. Went to start after work and a poof sound came from under the hood. I was able to get it started with alot of throttle and even limped home with it dying at every stop. When I got home I read the DTC's and they are.
First of all, take a look under the hood for any signs of what went "poof". All of your codes indicate something is wrong in the intake system of your truck. Do you have a FIPK on your truck? Take a look at the MAF sensor. With the DTCs that you have the other codes could easily be the result of a MAF problem.
P0102 MAF Low or no input P0136 No activity, Bank 1 P0156 No activity, Bank 2 P1131 Lack of switching, sensor indicates lean, Bank 1
P1151 Lack of switching, sensor indicates lean, Bank 2
I found the problem today. The backfire caused a vaccum line to blow off. It was the one that goes from the passenger side valve cover to the back of the engine near the top. Can someone tell me what this line does and what it actually plugs into. Thanks for all your help.
