Hey all, my 2019 F350 dually has stock Michelin tires. They seem like good, well made tires. Look way better than some you see off the lots on various vehicles. Just how good are these ? I’ve heard they are not to good and can be noisy going down the road. Thanks !
They're actually really good tires for running down the highway. If you rotate them and keep the right pressure, you can easily get 60k miles out of them.
I loved mine on my dually. Didn’t rotate enough and cupped out the fronts around 32k.
Then made the worst mistake of my life and put on Falcon wild peaks.
After 25k finally going to remove them and either going back to the original Tires or continental.
I changed out my OEM General tires at about 32K
Been Running Michelins ever since.
After the Firestone debacle late 90's ran them on my Explroer.
Also have them on my F150.
Buying 4 more for F250 this month
New to the forum, been lurking for a bit as my place of work wouldn't let me sign up. (damn boat internet) Anyways, got my first diesel, 2019 Sport Magma Red, and it was being driven by one of the salesman. It's got just under 9k on it, and I noticed the front tires are cupping already. What pressures are you guys running in the Michelins? Seems early to need to rotate, only thing I can guess is the pressure they were running was wrong?
Ford's recommended tire pressure is what caused all those Explorers to flip over with Firestone tires.
The vehicle rode smoother, stressed the Firestone sidewalls, and many many tires failed.
I ran those tires for over 100k. I had one failure, but noticed it before it blew.
Well, I bought the truck and had it for a couple days before heading to the boat. Just got back for a bit. I wonder if they had them down trying to soften the ride up a bit. First diesel I've had since my '95 7.3. Hopefully bumping them up and running them that way take the cup back out of them. It's only on the fronts. Anyone else notice the spare is a different tire?
Kinda good timing. I am thinking of replacing my Michelin’s with Bridgestone Dueler 685’s the Michelin’s on the back dually’s wore down to 5/32 after 36,000 miles mostly towing our fifth wheel I’m hoping the Bridgestone will do better for towing miles. I really like the Michelin’s but I was a little disappointed they didn’t last longer under these conditions.
