Seems early to need to rotate, only thing I can guess is the pressure they were running was wrong?
Look at the sticker on your door jam. That will give you the recommended pressures.

I run 70 in the front and 65 in the rear, run unloaded mostly. When I tow I will bump the rear up a little.

I noticed my fronts starting to "chop" or "cup" at 4500 miles. Took it in for first oil change and had alignment checked. It was way off from factory. After 15,000 miles, 3 tire rotations and paying for an alignment on a 6 month old everything looks good now.

As far as the AT2's. I dont love them, but have put plenty of miles on several sets. They are a pretty good OEM compromise. If you want offroad traction you'll want BFG AT2s or Nittos. If you want highway excellence you want whatever Michelin is calling the latest version of their LTX MS2.

I agree. MIchelin is fine as long as you don't drive on wet, icy, or snowy roads.

I replaced my Michelin AT's with Continental Terrain Contacts. IMO the Continental is overall a much better tire. Handles more like a sport tire, and better snow and wet traction than the Michelins. The Michelins didn't wear well and they started shimmying down the road at highway speeds. Yes, regularly rotated and even rebalanced. IMO Michelin overall makes excellent tires, but their AT2 leaves a lot to be desired. Just my 2 cents.

I had Michelins on my 2011 F150, granted they were not LT tires but little chunks started to tear out of the tread after 33k miles. I had a little flash back when I saw the Michelin's on my new 2019 F350....

Rotation is the big thing here. First few rotations (when the tread is deeper and squirms) are the most important. Get the first one done no later than 5K. Then every 5 thereafter for a few more. Once they get 1/2 worn, you can likely slack off.

On Dually, I have heard to just rotate fronts side to side. Correct?

After the Firestone debacle late 90's ran them on my Explroer.
Also have them on my F150.
Buying 4 more for F250 this month
Did you have any trouble with the Generals and do you know what model they were? I ask because I just bought a 17' F350 and the dealer put new tires on it when they took it in from the previous owner. They put General Grabber HTS on it.

So door says 60 front 65 rear, as opposed to what the tires say. So now I'm wondering if the cupping is from an alignment issue as another poster stated, truck seems to track true? Truck has just shy of 9k. I went ahead and bumped them up to 60 front and 65 rear(about +5 lbs each), but could 5 lbs make that difference in wear?

Depends on what you do with your truck. I don’t care for the Michelin’s at all. But ,I spend a lot of time on dirt forest roads that are often muddy or snow covered, so I use 4wd a lot.

FWIW on my DRW I was getting 40K per set on the Generals and I do rotate every winter to spring season.
I rotate side to side and then around 1/2 way through the tires life I pay to swap the inner rear tires and the front tires on their respective rims.
Most of my driving is highway towing a car trailer.
