what are you people using for a shifter pointer? for a 65 f100 auto have the pointer on the column just need the plastic part that goes on the outside of the column also it is hooked to a c4 tranny

I have the same setup in my 65. Hopefully you have a truck lever for your c4, otherwise the indicator wont match the gear. As far as part number, Im sure ND will chime in.
From 1965 - 1972 the pointer was part of the gear shift lever socket or "bowl" as you can see in this picture. In 1973 they went to the bowl and separate plastic pointer.
Just the pointer is available from places like Dennis Carpenter.
