Hello to all. My vehicle is a 55 F250. All original at the moment. it's red with the 223 milage miser in it. 4 speed with 486 gears in the rear. So it was a ranch truck built in the St. Paul factory. Has 90K miles on it with very little rust. I've had it a few years and haven't had the time to do anything but keep it running. I replaced the carb and tried replacing the 8 gasket insulator gaskets with one gasket on each side of an aluminum plate that was cut by one of my cousins in the pattern of the gasket. It appears to work OK but I haven't done any long distance driving in the heat. I have finished a new detached garage and installed a lift in it...... so it's time to get to work and get this thing up to speed. I have a plan to make a daily driver out of it and am toying with the idea of a 3.5 ecoboost in it. I'll probably match it with the 6 speed automatic but have been eyeing the new 10 speed. Currently serving as our Christmas decoration. The neighbors love it and will be disappointed once I start work and it's not longer available for display. I'll post progress (which is sure to be slow as I travel quite a bit for work.) and learnings from my errors. Take Care and have a great Holiday season.
