70 all around all the time. I've always kept my tires on the higher side on all my vehicles, I think they are more responsive and I've never had wear issues. I currently keep the wife's Honda Odyssey at 44.
I see varying opinions, some run higher pressure in the front and others are complete opposite while I run the same all around. Curious what the thought process is behind each practice? For me it's just what I've always done in all my vehicles and I've always had good luck with it.
I just have a hard time coming to term in why would anyone want to run lower in the front, do you know how heavy the motor and tranny is !!!!
Would make sense to have like 70 in the front and 50 in the read
Just saying !
Well it can all be figured out with a simple equation. My tires at max pressure hold 3750lbs. X2 =7500lbs of carrying capacity. The diesel motor is heavy but not that heavy. The front weight is approximately 4-5k. I think finding the appropriate psi with a load index chart then adding 5-10% is safe and allows for a better contact patch with the road.

Running a little less pressure in front has the potential to reduce some bump steer. Running higher pressures in the rear, especially when towing heavy, reduces sidewall flex making for a better towing experience.
