Closed throttle (KOEO) TPS voltage output should be between 0.6 to 1.0 VDC. As you open the throttle the output should smoothly increase to ~4.5 VDC. I never check the actual ohms of the sensor since the computer is expecting a voltage feedback.

Yeh it’s not doing that. So I guess I’ll take it back and get another.

Aftermarket TPS sensors well known to have very sketchy QC and early failures.

I’m sorry I Need one more thing answered if I can. Do I need to reprogram anything for the new tps? They are refusing to exchange it said I need to have my truck re programed. I’ve never heard of anyone saying that. Is this just their way of denying a claim?

There is no way to reprogram anything on your truck!!

Thank you that’s what I was trying to tell them. He got mad and hung up. I’ve always used NAPA and they treat me well. Advanced auto is proving to be a joke. I’m going back to Napa after this.

So after i put the old sensor on the truck.(all the misfires and stalling shaking came back immediately. I took the bad tps back to autozone and offered to show the manager why it’s not good. He refused and went back to reprogram the computer. I left went to Napa bought a tps. Came home put it in. Truck runs great no codes smooth no stalling. It might be actually fixed. So I’ll probably just call it lesson learned at advanced auto. Or call customer service and try to get my money back. Which probably won’t happen. Thanks I never would have dreamt a tps could cause all those issues.

the tps that originally was in my truck had a dead spot when you turned it. It would start at .95 and run to 4.9 but it would get open line readings in spots. The one from advanced auto went from 1.80-1.85 so it wasn’t running enough volts. At full throttle and too much at idle. If anyone is wondering.

well it's good, you got it fixed, and really blows you got treated like that, call customer service anyway, they come with warranty and he's not filling that obligation, no matter if its the 1st one or the 7th
