Ok, I've never done a thing to any Ford truck ever. In the past I'd always worked on Chevy's. I've never installed any kind of chip on any truck. Here's what I need to know:
1.) Where is the computer? I guess I could check my manual, but if you guys could give me a quick answer, it would save trouble.
2.) The Diable chip comes with the switch, so where would be a good place to mount it?
3.) Do you have to unhook your battery ends while you are installing it?
4.) Do you have to unhook your fuses or a certain fuse before you install it?
5.) Is the Diablo chip a direct replacement for the other chip, or is it a "piggy back" chip that goes onto the back of the original chip?
6.) Is it just an easy plug 'n' go task?
Thanks for any help you guys can give me! I look forward to the chip in the future! I'm guessing the chip itself would come with directions on installation, but I may be wrong. I'm kinda impatient.

1. Behind the passenger side kick panel. Silver/grey colored box.
2. Ash tray or under the bottom edge of the dash.
3. Yes.
4. No.
5. Neither. There is a service port on the side of the computer box. Its not really a chip, but a add-on board that plugs into the service port.
6. Yes.
Yes, it will have full instructions along with photos.

Hey, I'm assuming by passenger kick panel you mean the fold down panel that you would store your manual or whatever in? I took that off and found a bunch of metal hardware. What am I missing?
No, that's not the kick panel. The panel is the panel that your foot kicks. Its the plastic panel to the right of your feet on the passenger side and to the left of your feet on the drivers side.
Don't worry about the installation. Its really easy, doesn't require any advance knowledge of the locations, procedure, etc. We include full instructions with step by step photos. Its really a simple job. I've had house-wives install them as Christmas surprises, I'm sure you can handle it.
