Door Chime

This is a new occurrence on my ‘93 F250, 7.5L

With the key OUT of the ignition switch, the door chime stays on when the driver’s door is open. What/where should I be checking?

key cylinder ignition switch.
There is a little brass ( copper?)
piece that flexs and then breaks, or moves around ( fails)

Thanks...I will check. Is there a fix for the little brass piece, or is it a “replace the switch”?

FYI I installed a new Ford OEM switch with matching door locks three years ago. Bummer if it’s failed already.

Anyone else with other ideas?

As mentioned, there is a little metal contact in the hole that the lock cylinder goes in. If you pop out the key cylinder you will most likely find this piece broken off it's plastic and hanging by it's wire. It's part of the column, not the lock cylinder IIRC. It can be fixed, but I just taped it and pushed it out of the way.
