Torque Specs

Hope to install flywheel and clutch today on my F350 223 4spd. I easily found flywheel torque. Anybody know pressure plate bolt torque?

John, do you have a Shop manual? You would really enjoy it.

Here is the Spec page from the 1960 shop manual with published torque specs for clutches and manual transmissions.

And the page for general torque specs for bolt size. The shop manual states, "torque pressure plate bolts to specifications." So, I would go with bolt sizes for torque specs.

Hope this helps.

Thanks. I ended up using a general torque chart and specs I found for '61 ford, 25 ft. lbs. If I remember that is a pretty common torque for pressure plate with 5/16" bolts. I replaced the bolts with spec 8 bolts after snapping one off with my swap meet cheap torque wrench. Neighbor with set of manuals loaned me his torque wrench to finish up. On my list today to shop for torque wrench.
