torque head bolts

torque head bolts

does anyone know,what the torque lbs for the head are for a 95 f150 300 6 cyl

The Haynes manual says step1 55. step 2 65. step 3 85. foot pounds. 85 ft. lbs. final torque. Always double check and triple check the final torque.

According to Mitchell...


First pass 45-55 ft lbs
Second pass an additional 80-100 degrees
Torque in sequence.



I would suggest using NEW headbolts. I'm also not sure if these are the right specs, so a Haynes or Chilton manual would be a good thing to buy to compare. Hope this helps you.

Those torque specs sounds better than what mitchell has so I'd use that.
