Not shifting right
I have a 2002 7.3 crew cab 4x4 and its been acting up. As in if i get is and start it and take off it wont shift past 35-40mph and some time no all the time the tow haul will flash to. But once it warms up it acts just fine and shifts smooth. Or if i start i and let it idle and warm up then it acts just fine and can drive it over to hours and no problem and its only the first start of the morning like if i leave and go to the store or make several stops in town it only dose it just the first time

There is no tow/haul on any 2002. I think you mean the OD OFF light flashes, right? That means codes have been stored to tell you what's wrong. You can download Forscan for free at www.forscan.org. It needs an ELM327 adapter to plug into the OBD-II port. I bought one from Amazon for less than $30. Or if you don't want to buy that you could take it to a good independent repair shop or a Ford dealer to read the codes. The places that read codes free CANNOT read these codes.
